LGBTQQIA+ Therapy

Individual and Group Therapy

Cass specializes in supporting queer, LGBTQQIA, transgender, and gender expansive clients over the age of twelve who are experiencing substance abuse or mental health challenges.

He is dedicated to creating an affirming space for you to explore your gender and/or sexual identity, and he is there to help you navigate the stress that often comes with figuring out who you are and learning to celebrate it. It is one of his greatest desires to de-pathologize gender and sexual variance and to help clients view the many variations in human beings as natural.

WPATH Assessments and Letters

Cass is able to write WPATH letters for gender related medical services and has written many letters over the course of his career. He has extensive training and education in gender and sexuality and is a member of WPATH and TPATH. Cass has been trained in the Gender Affirmative and Supportive Surgery Evaluation Tool (ASSET) which is a tool developed by trans mental health professionals and designed to help clients prepare to undergo surgery as a part of their gender transition.

He cannot guarantee a letter will be accepted by your specific doctor and/or insurance, but he will work with you to determine what content and criteria is needed. It is important to him to not act as a gatekeeper, and he does all he can to support clients in accessing the medical care they need. He can also provide support in navigating healthcare and insurance systems, as he knows firsthand how overwhelming and confusing they can feel.
