Parent, Guardian and Caregiver Therapy and “Coaching”

To Cass, a fundamental part of supporting LGBTQQIA+ folks is also supporting their loved ones. He is passionate about providing both mental health therapy and “coaching” for the parents/caregivers/guardians/spouses/siblings/etc…of LGBTQQIA+ youth and young adults.

Cass focuses his coaching on educating loved ones about how best to support their LGBTQQIA+ family member, especially when it comes to a gender transition.

He recognizes that when a family member transitions, the whole family must transition along with them, which can create complex emotions. Cass can help you work through those emotions in a judgment-free environment. It is okay to struggle with change, and talking through your feelings can ultimately help you build a stronger support system for your LGBTQQIA+ family member—and the rest of your family as well.

It can also be difficult to navigate the healthcare system with a transitioning loved one. Cass can offer support in that area. He can also provide information and content about the many ways a gender transition can look across the lifespan.
